Bioremodeling – Skin Hydration and Renewal
Bioremodeling is neither a dermal filler nor classic mesotherapy, although it may resemble both in some ways. Profhilo and Profhilo Structura contain the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid available on the market. They harness the skin’s natural ability to regenerate—activating collagen, elastin, and fibroblasts, improving elasticity and hydration while preserving your natural facial expressions without adding unwanted volume.
We work with two types of bioremodeling treatments—Profhilo and Profhilo Structura—each tailored for slightly different skin needs and goals. Let’s take a closer look at when each might be the right choice for you.
PROFHILO STRUCTURA
Profhilo Structura strengthens facial contours and improves advanced skin laxity. For the very first time in aesthetic medicine, it specifically targets the revitalization of fatty tissue—its loss after the age of 40 being one of the most visible signs of aging.
It focuses mainly on the mid and lower face, making it an ideal choice for those seeking comprehensive skin rejuvenation without adding volume or altering natural facial features.
- Restores fatty tissue
- Improves skin structure, making it firmer and more elastic
- Tightens the skin and smooths fine lines without affecting facial expressions or increasing volume
- Defines and firms sagging contours
- Softens nasolabial folds
- Reduces laxity in the jawline and cheek area (“jawline effect”)
- Addresses advanced skin laxity and restores a refreshed, revitalized appearance.
PROFHILO
Profhilo has a more universal focus. It delivers deep hydration to all layers of the skin and activates fibroblasts, kick-starting natural regeneration processes. Beyond intensive hydration and a lifting effect, it visibly improves the overall quality of the skin.
It can be applied not only to the face, but also to the neck and décolleté.
- Smooths fine lines
- Firms and tightens the skin
- Provides intensive hydration
- Stimulates elastin and collagen production, improving elasticity and firmness
- Achieves all this without adding extra volume

How Both Profhilo Treatments Work
The treatment doesn’t act only at the injection site—it spreads evenly through the extracellular space, working as a powerful trigger for regeneration. High–molecular weight hyaluronic acid provides deep hydration and skin tightening, while low–molecular weight hyaluronic acid stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. This gives the skin a fresh impulse to become denser, smoother, and more youthful.
The main difference compared to other procedures that use hyaluronic acid (such as mesotherapy) lies in its concentration. Thanks to an advanced thermal stabilization technology, Profhilo delivers one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid per milliliter available today.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
The results of the treatment develop gradually. A second application is performed after one month, followed by another after 4–6 months. The full effect becomes visible approximately 3–6 months after treatment. Following the recommended three-session protocol, maintenance is ideally carried out once or twice a year to sustain the results.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT
- Profhilo Structura is administered using a fine cannula through a single entry point on each side of the face.
- Profhilo is applied with a fine needle into five specific anatomical points.
To ensure your complete comfort, the area is pre-treated with a local anaesthetic, making the procedure virtually painless and requiring no special downtime.
After treatment, you may notice small, temporary bumps on the skin, which will disperse naturally within 24 hours. A minor bruise or slight swelling may also occur at the injection site but typically subsides within 48 hours.

HOW DOES BIOREMODELLING DIFFER FROM DERMAL FILLERS AND MESOTHERAPY?
Bioremodelling does not work like traditional dermal fillers – it does not physically fill wrinkles or add volume to the face. Fillers rely on “cross-linking” hyaluronic acid to slow its breakdown and keep it fixed in one place, where it restores lost volume. Profhilo, by contrast, contains only highly concentrated, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which spreads evenly throughout the skin and activates its own regenerative processes. The result is a subtle yet visible rejuvenation – you, only brighter.
Mesotherapy works in the upper layers of the skin. Both Profhilo treatments are applied deeper, which means they can also biorevitalise more mature skin with sagging contours. In simple terms, mesotherapy is better suited to firmer skin, while Profhilo is more appropriate for skin with laxity.
Another key difference lies in the composition: while mesotherapy combines vitamins, amino acids, and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid to hydrate the surface and refine skin texture, Profhilo relies solely on hyaluronic acid – in an exceptionally high concentration and with no additives.
- Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication for 24 hours before and after the procedure.
- Do not massage the treated area or apply make-up on the day of the treatment.
- Avoid strenuous physical activity, saunas, tanning beds, and flying for at least 48 hours.
- Do not plan any other procedures in the area (e.g., dental work, laser treatments, or cosmetic massages) for 2 weeks.
- Drink plenty of water – internal hydration supports the treatment’s effects.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the preparation, and any active infection (including everything from a mild cold to an active cold sore or canker sore).
FAQ – Most Frequently Asked Questions About Profhilo Bioremodelling
Profhilo is not a filler and does not add volume. Instead, it stimulates skin cells to produce collagen and elastin, strengthening the skin without increasing its volume.
Simply put, Profhilo is a high-quality skinbooster that deeply hydrates the skin and improves its overall health and appearance. Profhilo Structura is a more specialised version, providing not only hydration but also noticeable lifting and firming of sagging contours and tissues.
Both treatments are considered bioremodelling because they work in the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating your own cells into action. Instead of simply adding elastin and collagen, they encourage your own fibres to regenerate and get to work. Profhilo Structura even targets fat cells, helping to restore them in areas where they enhance your natural facial contours.
The procedure is barely noticeable. Profhilo Structura requires just a single small injection on each side of the face, while Profhilo involves five tiny injection points. Wearing your hair down will easily conceal them. In rare cases, a small bruise or slight swelling may appear at the injection sites, but these usually disappear within a few days.
Yes, it can be combined with procedures such as botulinum toxin, which primarily targets the upper half of the face. No interval is required between other minimally invasive treatments, while laser procedures are best performed about a week before Profhilo Structura. Our doctors excel at providing personalised recommendations, perfectly balancing your preferences, safety, and optimal results.
No, the procedure is very gentle and takes only a few minutes. The injections cause minimal discomfort, thanks to the use of a local anaesthetic.
